Trying to place the freshmen in the lineup is pretty tough, especially with so many of them expected to get playing time due to the lack of upperclassmen. But we’ll give it a shot anyway!
Name: Casey Carreau
Number: 18
Position: Forward
Class Year: Freshman
Background: Casey Carreau played for Thayer Academy of the Independent School League and had a short stint with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL. Carreau was the captain of Thayer Academy and put up some pretty great numbers (23-38—61 in 30 games). He was ISL MVP and was named the most outstanding male hockey player in New England.
2017-18 Outlook: It’s a testament to how deep BC’s freshman class is that Carreau can put up the great numbers he did in high school and still be looking at having a battle to make the lineup. He’s going to have his chance to make some plays. My completely uninformed guess is you’ll see Carreau in the lineup, but probably on the 4th line to start off his college career.
Fun Fact: Carreau was a 4-year player on Thayer Academy’s varsity baseball team.
