We’re well into our Meet The Eagles series, but we’ve still got a ton of sophomores to get through... Let’s keep right on rolling!
Name: Connor Moore
Number: 7
Position: Defense
Class Year: Sophomore
Background: Connor Moore had a very respectable freshman season on the Heights. Of the thirteen (lol) freshmen, he and David Cotton were the only Eagles to play in all 40 games. Moore put up 1-12—13 line from the blue line, which is solid on its own, but he was also first on the team in blocked shots with 49 and third on the team with +/- with a +17 — only two behind the team leader, Christopher Brown. Moore wasn’t the type of freshman that jumped out at you, but as a defenseman, that’s exactly what you’re looking for.
2017-18 Outlook: You have to think that as a freshman who played in all 40 games, and one who put up 13 points and an excellent +/-, is in line to crack the top 6 on the blue line for his sophomore year. BC’s got a need for his type of player — a good, solid defensive blueliner — and with even more ice time this year, he could be in store for a really nice sophomore jump.
Fun Fact: Connor Moore’s waited a long time to get that first career goal — it came in the last game of the year at Conte Forum, March 11th at Conte Forum against Vermont in the Hockey East quarterfinals.
