Boston College Eagles’ sophomore Michael Campoli has signed with the Penticon Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League, the team announced Tuesday afternoon. This means that Campoli will eschew his remaining years at Boston College.

Campoli had limited playing time during his freshman year, and had not dressed the entire first half of the current season.

“Michael Campoli is a great skating defenceman that is known for his defensive game,” Vees head coach and general manager Fred Harbinson in a press release sent out by the team. We’ve seen how players such as Scott Conway and Nick Jones in the past that have come back from the NCAA and had a positive impact on our program. We feel Michael will add the same to our defense core.”

Campoli will join the team in 2018, at the start of the new year. Campoli is a dual citizen hailing from Montreal, Quebec.
