Last year's snub, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, will play the team the Eagles faced in the 2015 ACC-B1G Challenge, the Penn State Nittany Lions.
The snub comes following a disastrous season for the Eagles, finishing winless in conference matchups.
The 2016 incarnation of the tournament will include marquee matchups, including Michigan State vs. Duke, North Carolina vs. Indiana, and Syracuse vs. Wisconsin.
This marks the second time in three years that the Eagles have been left out of the challenge. The Eagles were left out of the 2014 tournament before receiving an invite to the 2015 tournament, losing to Penn State 67-58 in front of a sparse crowd at Conte Forum.
