Boston College is making a habit of playing in New York City, particularly at Madison Square Garden. BC hoops will return to the World's Most Famous Arena on Monday, December 12 against Auburn as part of a doubleheader, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
The other half of the doubleheader will be Big East champion Seton Hall against South Carolina. The added intrigue for BC fans in this game will be that the Eagles will be taking on Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl, a BC alum.
In recent years, the Eagles have played twice at both the Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden in basketball. This will mark BC's third trip to MSG for hoops and fifth trip to NYC overall in the past 9 years. Of course, the ACC basketball tournament will mark another NYC trip for the Eagles, as the 2017 tournament will be played at the Barclays Center.
It will be a great couple of weeks for BC fans located in New York, as this game will come on the heels of BC hockey's game against North Dakota at Madison Square Garden. That game will be played on Saturday, December 3.
