RECAP: Wake Forest Annihilates Boston College 74-48

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

After all of the hype surrounding Sunday evening's matchup between the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Boston College Eagles, the result was obvious in just six minute and ten seconds.

That was all the time the Demon Deacons needed to open a 14-0 lead on the Eagles.

From there, the Eagles barely made it to double digit scoring by halftime, BC was never a factor in the game, and Eagles will continue to search for an ACC win after falling to the Demon Deacons 74-48.

Eli Carter, despite starting the game on the bench, scored 18 points for the Eagles, leading the team in scoring. However, it was not enough, as the Eagles shot 5-for-29 from the field in the first half, stifling any chance at keeping up with the Deacons.

Of course, we would be remiss to not mention the 12 turnovers BC committed in the first half.

The loss drops BC to 7-20 overall and 0-14 in the ACC. The Eagles will take on Virginia Tech at home Tuesday, Feb 23 at 9 PM.
