Matchup of the Game

Life without Devin Thomas

The anticipated match-up between a rejuvenated Dennis Clifford and Wake Forest leading rebounder Devin Thomas took an anti-climatic turn when it was announced that Thomas was suspended for Sunday evening's game.

This poses a major problem for the Demon Deacons, who will be losing a player who averages 10.2 rebounds per game (not that a team-leading 15.8 ppg is important or anything). With Thomas, Wake Forest has only owned a +0.6 rebounding differential, this might possess a rebounding challenge.

It will be interesting to see how Wake Forest adjusts with the absence of Thomas. How well they adjust to the loss will dictate how the game turns out.

The Last Non-Alcoholic Beverage of the Game

What? I phoned it in. Do you know how hard it is to find non-alcoholic beverages?

Plug for Fun Party-Event-Thing

BC Off-Campus Housing is hosting a watch party at Cityside in Cleveland Circle Sunday starting at 4:30. There will be trivia preceding the game. At the tip, the game will be shown on the bar's TV's. The event is perfect for those living off campus, though it is open to all students with a BC ID. All BC students are welcome to attend, though as always it is 21+ to drink. I will be there, come out and watch the game!

For more updates on the event, follow @BC_OffCampus.

Final Thoughts And Predictions

I liked BC's chances before Thomas got suspended. Now I really like BC's chances.

There is absolutely a chance BC wins this game. Unfortunately, they always seem to shoot themselves in the foot somehow. And even though Wake is the worst team BC's played to this point, they're still 100 places ahead of them in the Kenpom rankings.

BC

The biggest issue BC has had recently are turnovers, well guess what, Wake is worse.  The Eagles have somewhat learned to play without Robinson and Turner, but Thomas is a far bigger loss to the Deacs than either of those players were to BC.  Eli Carter bounces back, Clifford continues to do what he's been doing and the streak ends.
