Boston College Basketball: Post-Weekend ACC Playoff Picture

With the weekend slate in the books, who are the Eagles looking at facing in the conference tournament bracket?

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Despite being 0-12 in the ACC, the Boston College Eagles aren't mathematically eliminated from a potential first round bye in the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament. That's pretty amazing considering what the Eagles have been up against in their first dozen games. But such is life in the ACC, a league that has a chasm of divide between its top tier and its bottom four or five teams.

While it's mathematical for the Eagles to nail down a top 10 slot, it's both unlikely and unrealistic to expect a huge run down the stretch. Even with a lighter schedule, BC's in last place, meaning they remain underdogs from here on out until they can prove otherwise.

In the interest of showing what's at stake heading into the next couple of games, let's take a look at the current schedule and the clinching/elimination scenarios for each of the ACC teams.
