How Did Fairfield Do Last Time Out?

The News&Observer: Henderson, Smith pace Wolfpack to fourth straight win, 99-78 over Fairfield

Fairfield Key Stats:

74.0 ppg (185th in country)

73.9 paa (222nd)

37.6 rpg (135th)

Things to Look Out For With Fairfield:

  1. This is Not Going To Be An Easy Game: I’m usually of the opinion that, unless its Duke playing Northeast Southern University or something that no games are worth looking past. Even Duke didn’t necessarily run away with its game against Tennessee St. a couple nights ago. With that in mind, anybody looking into this game shouldn’t take anything for granted.

  2. With that said, I understand how the minds of some basketball fans work, and someone might look at this matchup and say “BC should be in a position to win this game.” The reality is that Fairfield is a good basketball team. In fact, it is favored by two points as of 11:40 PM Tuesday night. Kenpom predicts Fairfield to win this game. Don’t look all the way down this article and see that (spoilers) mostly everyone predicted BC to win this game. This is going to be a very difficult game.
  3. Tyler Nelson is good at basketball: The Stags’ biggest offensive threat has to be Tyler Nelson, who posted 38 points in Fairfield’s game against Rider at the beginning of the month. He shoots 48% from two point range, and he can be a little sneaky behind the arc too, a 36.7% shooter. If he get’s going, look out.
  4. Consistency: One things that the Eagles have struggled with constantly this season, and something Jim Christian pointed out during the post game presser Sunday, is consistency. The Eagles can’t become an inconsistent team when it comes to avoiding mental mistakes. If they do, Fairfield is a good enough team to take advantage.

Random, Possibly Incorrect Fact from Fairfield’s Wikipedia Page

Betty Draper, a character from Mad Men, said that, in an episode during Season 7, that she’d be enrolling in the university for a master’s degree.

Angry Orchard

My mom is making lemon chicken tonight, and this drink pairs really well with it. Its light and refreshing, though certainly not the best cider I’ve ever had.
