Boston College Basketball vs. Maine Black Bears: Final Thoughts and Predictions

BC looks to snap six game losing streak

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

After a week that rocked the BC community, the Eagles have one more game before the team has a week long break for semester exams.

Did BC Win Last Time Out?

What To Watch For:

  1. Aggressive Play From the Bigs: Maine has been awful from the stripe this year, going 58.3% this year. This is a perfect opportunity for Dennis Clifford & Co. to play a much more aggressive game. Dare the Black Bears to make their free throws.
  2. Don't Start Out Slow: The Eagles were able to get back into the game on Wednesday despite a slow start. Don't take that for granted.
  3. Shut Down Issac Vann: Vann is Maine's best scorer, by a considerable margin. Shutting down Vann will result in a much easier game for the Eagles.
  4. Do Well on Finals: Wait, that's just for me.

Random, Possible Incorrect Fact from University of Maine's Wikipedia Page

Stephen King is Class of 1970.

Actually that's really cool.

Orange Juice

Got sick recently because of gross violations of health codes? You may be better, but your immune system is not. Build up your immune system with some good old Vitamin C, and help sustain the orange economy. (Not those Orange)

Who Would Win In a Fight, A Black Bear or Eagle

The encounter starts in a skirmish in the forest. The Black Bear gets the upper hand, but the Eagle escapes using its flying abilities. The Black Bear makes the search for the Eagle its main purpose in life. Days become weeks, weeks become months, months become years, and the Black Bear is losing hope. It questions its purpose in life, and it doesn't have a satisfying response. The Black Bear develops a significant existential crisis and dies alone and friendless, while the Eagle hangs out in its nest, unaware of the brutal mental warfare it is waging on the Black Bear due to its absence.

Eagle wins.

Can BC Win This Game?

Probably.
