While Atlanta braces for its second winter storm of the season, the men's basketball game between Boston College and Georgia Tech will be played as scheduled, per a Georgia Tech school release:
Wednesday night's men's basketball contest between Georgia Tech and Boston College is expected to be played as scheduled. The game remains set for a 7 p.m. start at McCamish Pavilion. For those who can attend the game safely, parking lots will open at 5:30 p.m. and doors will open to the public at 6 p.m.
Due to scheduling complexities, the ACC Game Postponement/Cancellation policy dictates that the only reason a game should be postponed and/or cancelled is if the conditions affect the safety of the teams or game officials involved. Provided the teams and officials are able to make it to the arena safely, the game will be played.
The Eagles arrived in Atlanta Tuesday afternoon and the game officials are in town and are able to get to McCamish Pavilion. Georgia Tech also has prepared in advance for essential game personnel to be available for the contest.
The school is "strongly discouraging" fans from attending unless they live within a safe walking distance of Tech's McCamish Pavilion. The Eagles should feel right at home in this one.
There will be no admission charge for Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports South in Georgia, on NESN throughout New England and MSG Plus in New York. The game will also be available online at ESPN3.com.
Stay safe and #hardnosed, errbody.
