Boston College basketball landed a big commitment this afternoon, literally, as Swedish power forward Billy Magarity Jr. committed to the Eagles. The news was first reported by the Asbury Park Press' Josh Newman.
Billy Magarity to Boston College. With that, I look forward to @NJHoopsHaven's next blog post.

Magarity chose Boston College over Seton Hall and Temple, the other two finalists for his services. Oregon State, USC, Northwestern and Baylor also showed an interest in Magarity.
The 6-foot-11, 225-pound power forward, whose family has ties to Philadelphia, should provide the Eagles with some sorely needed size in the front court. He's been described "as a finisher with a mid-range game and the fundamentals of a coach's son." Magarity was rated 23rd by DraftExpress.com on their list of Top International Prospects born in 1993.
Magarity Jr. joins Louisville SG Darryl Hicks and Woodstock, Virginia SF Garland Owens in the 2013 recruiting class. The addition of the Swedish big man leaves Donahue and the Eagles with one scholarship to give for next year's class, barring any roster attrition.
You can see Magarity Jr. in action here and here. Welcome (Välkommen?) to the Heights, Billy!
