ACC Tournament Seeding Scenarios, March 9, 2013: Boston College Earns An 8 Seed

Boston College has earned the no. 8 seed for next week's ACC Tournament and will face either Georgia Tech or Clemson.


With Boston College's 74-72 victory over Georgia Tech, the Eagles are now locked into the ACC Tournament's no. 8 seed. Next week's first round ACC Tournament game will be at noon on ESPNU and the ACC Network.

Let's take a look at the current ACC Tournament bracket and where we stand after the BC-Georgia Tech game.

-- Florida State owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Terrapins, winning the regular season series 2-0.
-- Clemson owns the tiebreaker over Wake Forest, winning the only meeting between the two programs this year.

As for the opponent, BC will draw either Georgia Tech or Clemson, depending on the outcome of the Clemson-Miami game later this afternoon.

Boston College will face No. 9 Georgia Tech with a Clemson loss (at Miami).
Boston College will face No. 9 Clemson with a win.
