Here's an interesting story coming from our friends over at ACCSports.com.
According to Mark Carroll of ACCSports.com, Boston College is heavily pursuing point guard Kyran Bowman, a dual-sport star who was originally committed to North Carolina football as a wide receiver in 2016.
The Havelock, North Carolina native will be taking an official visit to BC. Also on his agenda are Cal, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Missouri, so there's plenty of power program interest in his services. DePaul, Tulsa, and Rutgers are among the other schools who have offered Bowman a scholarship, according to 247sports.com.
Bowman, a 6'1'', 175-pound point guard, had been a 3-star football recruit before deciding to focus on hoops. Last year at Havelock High School, Bowman averaged 22.3 PPG, 9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists. With Eli Carter's graduation, there is a potential opening for a point guard to come in and play significant minutes right away, so that could be a selling point for BC as it looks to lure a commit from Tobacco Road.
