Earlier today, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported on Twitter that transfer guard Eli Carter, most recently of the Florida Gators, canceled his visit to Chestnut Hill to see Boston College. It came on the heels of visits to both Georgetown and UNLV. While he still isn't coming to see The Heights, it doesn't mean BC is out of the running to land his services.
I'm told that BC is still very much in it in landing Eli Carter. Him not visiting does not mean BC is out

That's great news for Jim Christian and the Eagles' basketball squad. After gaining what seemed like some bad news earlier today, the good news began rolling in when 6'10" Johncarlos Reyes committed to BC. If BC still has a shot at landing Carter, they could stand to be reconstructed and ready to go sooner rather than later.
As AJ noted earlier, BC could really use Carter in their backcourt. From a depth and experience standpoint, they currently have virtually nothing following the departure of Olivier Hanlan, the transfer of Lonnie Jackson, and the graduations of both Patrick Heckmann and Dmitri Batten.
As always, stay tuned and keep the ears up as news continues to develop regarding his decision.
