In the quest to replace Olivier Hanlan, Jim Christian is reaching across the pond for a solution.

The most recent stats available for Meznieks come from the IMT Basketball Academy in 2013-2014. That year, he averaged 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season In 14 games for the LMT Basketball Academy this season while playing in over 30 minutes per game. He hit double figures in seven games, including three 20-point performances against BK Turiba (20), VEF Riga (28), and BK Saldus (23).
Meznieks is listed as a two-star prospect and last played for the Get Better Academy in Prague, Czech Republic. He projects to a small forward position but has the attributes to allow him to play the guard position as well. With the graduations and departures of Dimitri Batten, Aaron Brown, Lonnie Jackson, and Olivier Hanlan, and Patrick Heckmann, this is a big get for Jim Christian as the Eagles try to rebuild the middle meat of their lineup.
Join us all in saying "Sveiki!" to Ervins and welcome to The Heights!
