For the most part this move isn't that surprising, as the Boston Globe linked Joe Rahon as a player who was going to leave the team during the last weeks of the Steve Donahue era. However recent internet buzz claimed that Rahon wasn't going to make a decision until Olivier Hanlan made his decision. As of the time of this writing Hanlan hasn't said or declared anything.
Last season Rahon averaged 9 points a game, with 3.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. If he indeed leaves the Eagles, Rahon will be the second Eagle to leave since Jim Christian was named head coach of the Eagles, forward/center Ryan Anderson was granted his release earlier in the week.
Of course this is only one report, so if any other news breaks be sure to check here for more.
