According to collegead.org, Boston College contacted Mike Lonergan about the vacant men's basketball head coaching position, but it is looking like Lonergan will remain at George Washington.

Earlier in the day, multiple sources told CBSSports.com that George Washington had extended the contract of head coach Mike Lonergan through the 2020-21 season. An official announcement could come as early as Friday.
Lonergan completed his third year as head coach at George Washington, leading the Colonials to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006. George Washington finished with an overall record of 24-9, 11-5 Atlantic 10. Prior to his stint at George Washington, Lonergan won a Division III title with his alma mater, Catholic University of America, and led Vermont to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2010.
The Bowie, Maryland native is a 1988 graduate of Catholic University of America, where he was a starting point guard and captain of the basketball team.
