Boston College vs. UMass: Eagles Open As A 2-Point Underdog vs. Minutemen

Jim Christian will take the win, but there was plenty to work on coming out of Friday night's 58-50 opening night win over New Hampshire. The Eagles will need to get a better performance out of everyone not named Aaron Brown and Will Magarity if they hope to knock off the Minutemen at the Garden tomorrow afternoon (3 p.m., NESN).

Oddsmakers favor the Minutemen ever so slightly tomorrow, as Boston College opened up as a 2-point underdog against UMass for tomorrow afternoon's game at the Garden. The line has already moved in UMass's favor to 2.5 since it was released earlier today.

UMass is coming off a 95-87 victory over Siena in the opener. Trey Davis showed that he's ready to step in to fill the shoes left by Chaz Williams, scoring a career high 28 to pace the Minutemen.

Last year, Boston College opened as a 3-point favorite for the Commonwealth Classic at the Garden. The Eagles took a 4-point lead into the locker room before getting blown out in the second half, falling to UMass 86-73. This will be the 47th meeting between the two programs. Boston College holds a 26-20 edge in the all-time series.
