For the first time since 2009, Boston College baseball made the NCAA Tournament. Earlier in the year, we talked with Mike Lananna of Baseball America about what it would take for the Eagles to become one of the 64 best teams in the nation. A few months later, we've found the answer to that question as Birdball heads to Oxford, MS to take on Tulane in the first round on Friday.
From the word go, WZBC's TJ Hartnett's had a front row seat to the Birdball season. He sits down with our Dan Rubin, who's also been there from the beginning, to talk about the Eagles, breaking down their pitching, their offense, what makes them dangerous, and how they'll adapt to playing at Ole Miss. They also talk about the team's adaptation to the new media coverage and how this can lead to a new day of BC Birdball in the mainstream.
The Eagles take on Tulane in the NCAA First Round, then face either the winner or loser of the Ole Miss-Utah game. It's heralded as one of the toughest regionals in the nation, so tune in and enjoy some BC talk about the upcoming games and series!
