While meeting with the media on Tuesday, Boston College baseball head coach Mike Gambino announced Justin Dunn would start for the Eagles on Friday against the Tulane Green Wave, with Mike King pitching in the Eagles' second game on Saturday. He also announced that Donovan Casey, sidelined from the batting order since the Virginia series, would return to the lineup.

Dunn hasn't pitched since a complete game shutout against Georgia Tech in the penultimate game of the season. His victory over the Yellow Jackets set the stage for the Eagles' clinching victory in the ACC Tournament race during a doubleheader in Atlanta two weekends ago.

King started the first game of the Georgia Tech series and appeared in the ACC Tournament rematch with the Yellow Jackets.

Dunn and King have been the bread and butter of the Boston College pitching staff this year, with Dunn garnering national attention for his efforts. In 16 games this season, including six starts, he's gone 3-1 with a 1.35 ERA. He's thrown three shutouts in 53.1 innings, striking out 55 batters to just 15 walks. Opposing hitters are batting only .210 against him.

King, the stalwart of the pitching staff from the beginning of the season, went 7-4 this year to post the most wins by a BC pitcher since 2010. He posted a 3.15 ERA while pitching 91.1 innings. A prototypical sinker ball pitcher, he accumulated 56 strikeouts this year.

Of note for the Eagles will be the return of Donovan Casey to the lineup. Prior to his injury against Virginia, the outfielder was hitting .276 after spending most of the early part of the season hovering at or above the .300 mark. At the time, he had 16 runs scored with nine RBI, amassing 27 hits through 30 games and 26 starts.

Casey returned to the BC roster as a pitcher, appearing in eight games over the course of the year. He saw action in three games as a pitcher after the injury, throwing 2.2 innings with only one earned run allowed. That run was the only earned run he allowed all season long, and he finished with a 1.17 ERA in 7.2 innings thrown.

BC takes on Tulane in the first game of the Oxford, MS regional hosted by Ole Miss. First pitch is at 4 PM ET.
