With substantial rain in the forecast for Sunday, Boston College and Wake Forest have rescheduled their remaining two games of the three game series this weekend. The two teams will now play a doubleheader on Saturday with the first game beginning at 11:30 AM.
The move forces a shift in the schedule for the jersey number retirement ceremony for Pete Frates. The retirement ceremony will now take place in between doubleheader games.
For the updated schedule, Boston College and Wake Forest will play the first game of the doubleheader at 11:30 AM. 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game, the retirement ceremony will take place, in which Pete will be honored with just the second retired number in Boston College baseball history. Following the ceremony, the Eagles and Demon Deacons will play the third and final game of their weekend series.
Wake Forest defeated Boston College, 8-6, in the first game on Friday.
