Well it's official - Jesus hates it when Jesuit Catholic institutions of higher education play games against one another.
Earlier this season, a relatively mild late winter forecast allowed for one day of rain - on the exact day when Boston College was set to open their baseball home schedule against Holy Cross. The game was postponed for a couple of weeks later, for the Tuesday following the Florida State series, to be played at Shea Field.
What could possibly go wrong, right?
Boston College's game against Holy Cross has been postponed a second time, this time due to the freak April snowstorm pounding the Massachusetts area throughout Monday. As of the time of its postponement, some Massachusetts towns already received five inches of snow with more heavy bands due to sweep into the Boston region throughout the evening.
I'm not really sure how to explain that this game fell right in line with the weirdest weather pattern in both particular stretches, so I'm going with the obvious:
Pope Francis can't decide which school to root for, so he had Jesus drop snow on all of us.
No announcement about make-up date has been made. In other news, the game against Northeastern has been rescheduled for May 4th, so we got that going for us, which is nice.
