For the second straight weekend, the Boston College Eagles will move their home series to a different location. Owing to the weather conditions impacting Shea Field, the three-game series between BC and ACC opponent Duke will take place on campus at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE.
The games will be slated on Friday and Saturday at 1 PM with a noon start on Sunday.
In addition, the Holy Cross game originally postponed has been moved to the New England Baseball Complex, where both the Eagles and Crusaders played this past weekend in their respective matchups. That game will take place on Wednesday.
Delaware remains within the ACC's territorial footprint, so the series can be moved to that locale. It is also equidistant between Durham, NC and Chestnut Hill, MA, roughly 350 miles for both schools. Last season, Bob Hannah Stadium underwent extensive renovation that installed a new artificial turf surface, heated dugouts, new fencing, a new backstop, tunnel-based batting caged, a new scoreboard, and new dugouts.
The Blue Hens, members of the Colonial Athletic Association, are ironically heading north this weekend to Boston to play at Northeastern, allowing the field to become available.
