Following its three-game sweep at the hands of the Louisville Cardinals, the Boston College Eagles were set to open up their first local games this week by playing at Holy Cross on Tuesday. Following the Tuesday tilt in Worcester, the Eagles were scheduled to open up their home schedule against the Bryant Bulldogs on Wednesday.
Thanks to Mother Nature, spring is temporarily postponed.
With snow totals breaking 20-year records in the city of Boston, the BC Eagles baseball team will be unable to open up its Massachusetts schedule this week. The Holy Cross game has been postponed without a future date, and the game against Bryant has been moved to April 29th at Shea Field at 3 PM.
As of right now, Boston College's weekend conference series with NC State is on as scheduled, although snow on Shea Field may force the game to be moved elsewhere. Last year, BC's first home games were played at Northeastern and Rhode Island awaiting the status of the Eddie Pellagrini Diamond.
More information regarding the times and location of the series should be available this week.
