Boston College sophomore Chris Shaw is the ACC Player of the Week after hitting .556 with five RBIs for the calendar days. The outfielder helped lead the Eagles to a 3-1 weekend and its first road ACC series victory since 2011.
Shaw collected 15 total bases and an .833 slugging percentage. The Eagles defeated UMass-Lowell on Wednesday, then took two of three from North Carolina State over the weekend. It was also BC's first ACC series victory of the year. He had a .929 slugging percentage on the weekend alone.
Shaw is the first Boston College baseball player to receive Player of the Week honors since Anthony Melchionda was named so twice during the 2012 season. Shaw is currently on a six game hitting streak after hitting a homer against Northeastern in the Beanpot consolation game.
Congratulations to Chris!
