Boston College will head into the Advocare V100 as nearly a touchdown underdog. The Wynn Las Vegas has installed the Eagles as an early 6.5 point underdog in their New Year's Eve matchup with the Arizona Wildcats in Shreveport.
The 6.5-point spread is the most points Boston College is getting since the Clemson road game on October 12 (BC +24). The Eagles lost 24-14. The Eagles were also more than a touchdown underdog in games vs. Florida State (BC +24, lost 48-34) and at USC (BC +14.5, lost 35-7).
Boston College is 7-5-0 against the spread this season. Arizona is 5-6-1.
If the early Vegas lines are any indication, the ACC, despite putting an NCAA record 11 teams in bowl games, is going to have a bowl season to forget. Just two of the ACC's 11 bowl-bound teams are favored in their matchups, though Florida State is more than a touchdown favorite in the game that counts. So that's a thing.
