Eagles locked into the #14 seed for next week's ACC Tournament. Will face either Miami, Wake Forest or Georgia Tech.

Streeter Lecka

With Wake Forest's victory over Duke -- this is not a typo -- Boston College is now locked into the ACC Tournament's no. 14 seed. The best BC can do is finish in a two-way tie with Georgia Tech and the Jackets own the head-to-head tiebreaker by virtue of their 2-0 record over the Eagles.

Here's the tournament field if the season ended today:

#1 Virginia
#8 N.C. State vs. # 9 Maryland

#4 Duke
#5 Pittsburgh vs. #12 Notre Dame / #13 Georgia Tech winner

#2 Syracuse
#7 Florida State vs. #10 Wake Forest / #15 Virginia Tech winner

#3 North Carolina
#6 Clemson vs. #11 Miami / #14 Boston College winner

The Eagles got crushed by Miami only a few days ago. An opening round ACC Tournament matchup with Notre Dame would be preferable to one against Miami. I'd also prefer to play Georgia Tech over Miami. But at this point, does it really matter?
