Boston College women’s basketball defeated Bryant by a score of 94-57 today, and will head into ACC play on the high of a high scoring victory. Andrea Daley led the Eagles with 19 points and Dontavia Waggoner with 15 points and 5 steals. The Eagles scored 40 points off of 32 turnovers in tonight’s win.

The Eagles jumped out to an early 16-6 lead, using aggressive defense to stop Bryant from having many opportunities to score. The Eagles continued to build a lead from there, and a buzzer beater from Andrea Daley put them up 26-12 heading into the second quarter.

BC held Bryant to just 5 points in the first 5 minutes of the second quarter, while scoring 13 themselves. Bryant picked up the scoring in the back half of the period, but BC continued to down baskets as well, including 3s from Kaylah Ivey and Kayla Lezama. At halftime, the Eagles led 55-26. BC’s defense really allowed for this lead, as the teams ended the half with BC having forced 15 turnovers and made 11 steals.

Bryant had a strong third quarter, scoring 18 points, but BC still outscored the Bulldogs with 22 points and went into the final quarter leading by 33 with a score of 77-44.

Teya Sidberry scored a couple of baskets in a row midway through the fourth, which put BC up by over 40 points. The Eagles weren’t quite able to hit 100 points tonight, as their scoring slowed down late in the fourth as the starters sat, but BC did still win this one 94-57. Unfortunately, on one of the final plays of the game both Ava McGee and Kayla Lezama went down - Lezama limped off on her own, but McGee had to be helped off the court.
