BC basketball great Billy Evans (BC '69) passed away on Jan. 12 at age 75. I saw him play a lot of games at Roberts Center, at Madison Square Garden in the NIT Championship Game, and in the NCAA's. He was one of BC's best point guards ever. He teamed up with Terry Driscoll, Willie Wolters, Steve Adelman, Jim (Crane) Kissane, and later Jim O'Brien under Coach Bob Cousy to play some of the best BC basketball of the last 60 years. Bob Ryan wrote a beautiful tribute to Billy in today's Globe.
