Although BC had Gauthier drafted as their highest ever pick (5th overall tied with NHLer Noah Hanifin and retired NHL standout Bill Guerin) they only had one other pick Leddy in the 4th round. A couple others were ranked high enough that they probably were expected to be picked, Gustafson and Powell, and Nolan was listed just above the cutoff line. The goalie Silverstein didn't get selected either even though he was listed as the #3 North American goaltender. Did we set expectations too high for this class or is it actually a good sign that BC has several players coming in that may turn out to be very solid 4 year players as they were on the edge of being drafted? This turned out to be no better than an average BC draft class as some years there have been a handful of players drafted and few with less. I still think it is a high quality class that will put BC in the playoff picture right away.
