Name: Sam Sternschein

Position: Forward

Year: Grad Student

Number: #19

Height: 6’2”

Hometown: Syosset, NY

Previous Stats: Sternschein spent the last four seasons playing with Penn State in the Big 10 conference before transferring to BC. He had 52 points in 112 games during his time there, including a career high 12 goals in his junior season in 2019-20. As a senior, he had two goals and 7 points in 19 games.

Season Outlook: Sternschein looks like he should be a solid middle of the lineup player for BC this season. He’s got some solid scoring ability (his 12 goals in 2019-20 was actually tied for the team lead at Penn State) and he’s an experienced enough player that Jerry York will probably trust him from the jump. He’s turned in some solid seasons at Penn State, so the hope is he has one more left in him now that he’s an Eagle.

Fun Fact: Sternschein was selected to the Academic All-Big Ten Team in each of his last three years at Penn State
