Some highlights:

On Dennis Grosel

“His first start. That's what everybody needs to realize. I thought he did a good job of managing the game... he’s going to get better and better. I’m proud of him. I thought he did a nice job.”

On Pat Garwo and the running game

“I think Pat did a good job, we set the tone and wore them out a little bit in the first half. It was cool to see [Sinkfield] come in with a lot of juice and sort of finish them off at the end of the game. The o-line played well - [Temple] brought a lot of guys up... we wanted to end the game by running the football to finish them off, and they did. Really a nice team victory today.”

On the defense’s performance bouncing back from last week

“Going back to fundamentals and technique. We believe in our scheme, we believe in our staff, we believe in our players... we needed to get back to being ourselves. That’s all we talked about. The way we bounced back after last week was really impressive... we had 4 three-and-outs in the first 5 possessions. Congrats to the defense today.”

On Deion Jones’s return

“Deion calms things down. We played a lot of young guys on defense, a lot of freshmen... Deion is a guy who can call stuff out, calm them down.”

On 4th down defense

“We’re resilient... those moments get me more excited than any others because they’re hard, when you’re in your own territory. Disciplined football today, disciplined defense.”

What do you take away from the first three games?

“We’re 3-0. We respect every moment we play. Prepare every week like you’re playing the best team in the ACC. Each week we got better in certain phases. As long as we can keep improving then we’ll be happy. I think we got better today.”

On the lateral pass to Flowers

“You can do stuff with him... I thought he was going to score on that. When you have one of the better players in the ACC, you have to find ways to use him... whether it’s throwing the ball down field, pitching the ball to him... you have to find a way to let him go.”

On Temple:

“A ton of respect for Temple. That’s a good football team. They’re explosive on offense, their players play really hard... they’re gonna win a lot of games this year.”
