The Idiot’s Guide to Week 3

NCAA Football: Jacksonville State at Florida State Melina Myers-USA TODAY Sports

It’s hard to imagine other stuff going on with everything going on with BC, but there are other games going on. Rather than do all of the games that, let’s face it, you don’t care about, here’s the idiot’s guide to the Top 25:

Georgia over South Carolina: It’s funny that Will Muschamp is now a coach at Georgia after getting fired by South Carolina, because let’s face it, a not insignificant amount of South Carolina fans that I interacted with thought Will Muschamp was a secret agent of Georgia. The SEC, everyone!

Oklahoma over Nebraska: Remember what I said about Fox getting good 12 PM games? Scratch that.

Texas A&M over New Mexico: Just in time for Texas joining the SEC, the state’s ag school might make an actual run for, well, something.

Cincinnati over @ Indiana: Y’all aren’t even trying to care about your current conference, are you?

Virginia Tech @ West Virginia: I’ve never been to West Virginia, but I have driven through Blacksburg on I-81, and I’d bet a not insignificant amount of money that the two towns are indistinguishable.

Coastal Carolina over @ Buffalo: Before the playoffs expand, I just want one Group of 5 team to make it. Cincinnati is probably the bet bet right now, but they’re barely Group of 5 at this point. Let’s get Coastal there.

Miami over Michigan State: Is it just me or did Miami schedule a pretty difficult open to the season?

Michigan over Directional Illinois

Purdue over Notre Dame: I can say with relative certainty, Notre Dame is not good this year. Just, realistically. They just looked way too soft in their first two games.

Alabama over @ Florida: It’s almost unfair that in the best conference in football no one can really match up with Alabama.

Iowa over Someone

Clemson over Georgia Tech: Watch out for Dabo Swinney sneaking into the CFP Committee to cover up the “Tech” on Clemson’s schedule after Clemson beats the Jackets by 80.

Ohio State over Tulsa

Arkansas over Georgia Tech: Arkansas is back. Imagine thinking that Oklahoma rode Texas’ coattails into the SEC and not the other way around.

Oregon over Stony Brook: Anthony Brown!!!!!!

Auburn over @ Penn State: Schedule more of these games please. Too many programs play abysmal non-conference schedules.

North Carolina over Virginia

Ole Miss over Tulane: I’m rooting for Tulane this season. After last year’s mess of an academic year, it can’t be easy to have to Birmingham after a hurricane.

Arizona State over BYU

Iowa State over @ UNLV

UCLA over Fresno State

Will UConn (@ Army) win this week: Nope.
