Name: Eric Dop
Position: Goalie
Year: Graduate Student
Number: #29
Height: 5’10
Hometown: Lewis Center, Ohio
Previous Stats: Dop arrives at BC as a graduate student this season, after playing at Bowling Green for the past four years. While at BGSU, he went 45-26-7 with a .914 career save percentage and 2.22 goals against average. As a senior last season, he went 13-8-1, with a .923 save percentage and 2.16 goals against average, good for 14th among all Division I goalies in GAA and 17th in save percentage.
Season Outlook: Without a clear cut starting goaltender on the roster for the first time in a while, I would imagine that Dop and sophomore Henry Wilder will be splitting starts at the beginning of the season until one of them emerges as the starter. However, given Dop’s depth of experience in the NCAA, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him be given the starting role right off the bat.
Fun Fact: His twitter handle is @dop_dont_stop.
