Bad news to keep an eye on in Amherst- Boston College starting quarterback Phil Jurkovec was lifted after one drive due to a potential injury.
Jurkovec came out without the broadcast mentioning it, leading to some confusion before Jason Baum tweeted out the news:
BC QB Phil Jurkovec heading into the locker room with the medical staff.

Dennis Grosel came in to spell Jurkovec and led BC down the field on a run-heavy drive to give the Eagles a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
At this point there has been no update on what the medical crew is working on with Jurkovec, though we will keep an eye out.
Let’s hope this is just a precautionary measure in this early nonconference matchup that Grosel should be able to handle — any injury to Jurkovec would be a huge blow to the Eagles offense.
Boston College is currently taking on UMass, with the game broadcast live on NESN+, and available outside of New England on FloSports.
