Frelick had an outstanding season this year which culminated in his becoming the first ever Eagle to be Golden Glove recipient. He was also the ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

A center fielder, Frelick was perfect in this outfield this past season. He hit 6 home runs and batted a .359 average. In his 3 seasons at Boston College, he has a combined .345 average and 12 home runs. He has scored 97 career runs and has hit in 63 RBIs.

Frelick had a career high 70 hits this season, and is the fastest player to reach 100 career hits in Boston College history, achieving this feat in just 72 games.

Frelick is the 6th Eagle to be drafted in the first round of an MLB draft. Tony Sanchez is BC’s highest ever pick, going at #4 to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2009.
