One week after winning the 2021 NCAA championship, and a few days after winning the Tewaaraton Award as the nation’s best player, Boston College women’s lacrosse forward Charlotte North officially announced that she will return for her grad year with the team in 2022.
North transferred from Duke after the 2019 season, her sophomore year; her junior season was interrupted by COVID, but she has an extra year of eligibility for 2021 and was widely expected to use it.
By making it official, North cranks up the hype for her 2022 season. Not only will she lead BC toward their attempted title defense, she will be expected to launch an assault on her own record for goals scored in an NCAA season, which she set this past year. She also will continue to make her mark on the BC record book, and will have an opportunity to become the first BC player to win multiple awards in their sport as the nation’s best player.
Looking forward to watching her again in 2022!
