This evening, the 2021 Tewaaraton Award winners will be announced. The Tewaaraton Award is awarded to the best male and female NCAA lacrosse players each season.
This season, BC’s own Charlotte North is the favorite to win the women’s award after scoring 102 goals this season on her path to the National Championship, which broke the NCAA’s single season scoring record. North is up against Maryland’s Lizzie Colson, UNC’s Taylor Moreno and Jamie Ortega, and Northwestern’s Izzy Scane. If North wins, she will be the second Eagle honored with the award - graduate assistant coach Sam Apuzzo won the award as a player in 2018.
This year’s winners will be announced at halftime of the 5 PM start time Premier Lacrosse League game being hosted at Gillette Stadium, airing on NBCSN. We’ll do our best to alert you over on Twitter at @bcinterruption when halftime is approaching. You can also follow @bcwlax for updates.
