Maryland is a 6’4” TE from Southlake, TX and is the 22nd-ranked 2022 TE in the country. Before committing to BC, his offer sheet included schools like Purdue, Tennessee, Miami, Michigan State, UCF, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, and more.
Coach Hafley seems to be loading up on tight ends in this 2022 recruiting class, as Maryland becomes the 3rd player at the position to make a commitment to Boston College, joining fellow 3-stars Matt Ragan and Jeremiah Franklin. The hole left on the roster by Hunter Long this year has yet to really be filled, and these players will have a real opportunity to do so along with the other tight ends already on the roster like Charlie Gordinier.
Following this commitment, BC still sits towards the top of the national recruiting rankings for the 2022 class. They are ranked 10th nationally and 2nd in the ACC according to 247’s composite rankings.
