Boston College TE Hunter Long got the call tonight on Day 2 of the NFL Draft and on the other end was Brian Flores and the Miami Dolphins.
Taken with the 81st pick in the third round, Long joins the Dolphins and joins forces with Flores, a former Eagle. Long does join a good tight end room there, but with time will look to make a bigger impact. Aside from the BC connection, Coach Flores was able to get a closer look at Long while coaching at the Senior Bowl.
Long is the first BC player to be picked in this year’s NFL Draft. He is the second Eagle in recent years to be drafted 81st overall, as the Detroit Lions took Will Harris as their 81st pick in 2019. Long is the first Eagle to be drafted by the Dolphins since 1995, when Miami chose Pete Mitchell with the 122nd pick.

Congratulations, Hunter! Go Eagles!
