Williams was one of the surprise departures into the portal for Boston College, after he started getting more minutes this past season and was looking like a potential starter or 6th man once BC’s roster became severely depleted. He was only managing to score a mere 2.6 points and 1.2 boards per game on .350 shooting, but he still probably would’ve seen at least some playing time for BC just given the state of the team’s depth.
It’s tough to tell what kind of player Miami OH is getting. Williams didn’t have much production despite his increase in minutes this year and his defensive presence didn’t exactly blow anybody away either. Maybe he’ll be able to shine away from the big bodies you’ll find in the ACC, but so far there’s not much evidence that he’s anything special.
We wish Kamari luck in his future beyond Boston College!
