6-1, 175 out of Shelton, CT. HUGE get for McCall's squad
Kelly played just one season for Boston College after transferring from Quinnipiac last offseason. At BC this season Kelly was able to put up 11 points per game, good for 3rd on the team, while also shooting an impressive .427 from the field and .372 from beyond the arc. He missed the final few games of the season due to injury and had entered the transfer portal before the season had even ended.
This departure was pretty much expected at this point. He would’ve been a good experienced addition to next year’s BC squad, providing shooting around the floor for a guard group that mostly scores in transition and closer to the rim. He didn’t start many games for the Eagles, but he added a lot on the offensive side of the ball that will be difficult to replicate next year without many obvious great shooters on the roster.
We wish Rich all the best in his future beyond Boston College!
