Charlotte North was the difference maker in today’s Boston College lacrosse game (surprise, surprise) scoring 10 goals in a game that was won by a 10 goal differential. The Eagles defeated Virginia Tech by a score of 21-11 and have now won 6 straight games.
North started things off with an unassisted goal under 2 minutes into the game, only for Virginia Tech to score a pair of goals of their own. This would be the only time the Hokies led for the rest of the game, as the Eagles quickly took over on offense. BC took a 9-4 lead into halftime, and kept scoring all the way through the second half - BC’s last goal (from North, of course) was scored with just 1 second to go in the game.
The Eagles outshot the Hokies 41-21, including 27 SOG to Virginia Tech’s 16. BC also earned 12 free position shots, while the Hokies were awarded none.
In addition to North’s 10 goals, the Eagles had a multi-goal game from Belle Smith (5) and Jenn Medjid (3). Annabelle Hasselbeck, Cassidy Weeks, and Cara Urbank each scored 1 goal as well.
