Jones is a 2-star recruit and will add some much needed depth to the guard position on Boston College’s roster. This addition now brings BC up to 4 total guards for next year, including Makai Ashton-Langford, DeMarr Langford Jr., and Brevin Galloway. Jones was previously committed to the College of Charleston while Grant was their head coach, so he’s decided to follow his new coach up to the Heights. This addition is the 2nd late add for the 2021 freshman class after Devin McGlockton, another 2-star recruit, was also added late in the cycle two days ago. It still is yet to be seen how Coach Grant utilizes the transfer portal in what should be a huge year for transfers, as all players received an extra year of eligibility due to COVID and many are looking to transfer to new places with their extra year.
