Georgia prospect Devin McGlockton, a 6’7” Class of 2021 forward from Georgia, announced on Twitter today that he has committed to Boston College.
McGlockton is a 2-star recruit that will add some depth to Boston College’s roster. He was the highest-ranked remaining recruit in Georgia from the 2021 class and had an impressive Senior season that pushed him up the recruiting rankings. While he has a pretty low profile and is ranked in the 600’s overall for his class, it’s these kinds of additions for next year that will be important to head coach Earl Grant in filling out his roster at Boston College. Multiple BC players have entered the transfer portal and there may be more on the way, so locking up a freshman for this upcoming season ensures that there will at least be some decent players out on the floor for the Eagles this fall and beyond. Given the state of the roster, McGlockton will probably see some playing time depending on how Coach Grant does in the transfer portal.
