Two Boston College Women’s Basketball Players Earn ACC Honors

This morning the ACC announced their basketball All-ACC selections, and 2 Boston College women’s basketball players made the cut. This speaks to the fact that while the Eagles have struggled in terms of actual results, there are skilled players on this roster and the future is bright. These honors were decided by the ACC’s 15 head coaches

Junior forward Taylor Soule was named to the All-ACC First Team, just the 3rd BC player to ever receive this honor. She was also named to the league’s Blue Ribbon Panel All-ACC Second Team Soule is 10th in the ACC with 282 points, and 5th in the ACC with 16.6 points per game. Soule also has 121 rebounds this season, 31 assists, and 23 steals. Last season, Soule was the ACC Most Improved Player and was Second-Team All-ACC.

Junior guard Marnelle Garraud was named to the ACC’s All-Defensive Team. Garraud is the first BC player to be named to the ACC All-Defensive Team. Garraud has 36 steals this season and leads the ACC with 2.1 steals per game. She also leads the Eagles with 51 assists per game, and is 4th on the squad with 120 points,
