This comes less than 48 hours after Boston College announced the hiring of new head coach Earl Grant, and less than 24 hours after the new coach met with the team. Heath led Boston College in points per game this season and was one of the bright spots in an overwhelmingly dark year. This transfer, along with the transfer of Wynston Tabbs, leaves an awfully large scoring gap for next year’s team. Heath, Tabbs, Rich Kelly, and Steffon Mitchell were 4 of BC’s 5 leading scorers this season and are all transferring out or declaring for the draft. Without many big name recruits coming into the program as freshman next year that we know of so far, a lot of weight is going to be on the shoulders of CJ Felder and the Langfords to perform well in Earl Grant’s debut season.
We will keep an eye on any other transfers from BC that may come in the coming days and weeks. We wish Jay well in the future wherever he ends up!
