According to Jeff Goodman, Penn State has already made a move for their new head coach and tabbed Micah Shrewsberry.
BREAKING: Penn State is expected to hire Purdue assistant Micah Shrewsberry as its head coach, sources told @stadium. Shrewsberry was previously an assistant for Brad Stevens with the Boston Celtics and at Butler.

Micah Shrewsberry is an assistant coach at Purdue and had been floated as a potential candidate for Boston College’s head coaching job. He’s in his second year as a Purdue assistant and has bounced around multiple programs for the last 20 years.
Celtics fans may know that his longest stint was under Brad Stevens. He was an assistant to Stevens at Butler from 2008 to 2011, and then continued to the NBA with him as an assistant with the Boston Celtics from 2013 to 2019, while stopping at Purdue for those two years in the middle.
Shrewsberry would have been a good hire for the Eagles and may have been towards the top of their list. But with one P6 job now filled, BC’s search becomes a little bit easier when competing against other schools with openings.
