We’re counting down the days until the March 20th opening of Eagles spring practice.
Year 2 A.D.* for Coach Hafley is going to be rife with expectations. The staff and players should have a much better handle on how things are done this time around with Hafley’s system. Last year was of course rudely interrupted about a year to the day by that which shall not be named. At the time, Hafley only scratched the surface on getting to know everyone, and still had a ways to go in his installs. The foundation is set now and the pleasantries are in the past. There shouldn’t be any setbacks this time around (knocks on all of the wood).
We’ll take a look at some more of the positional battles and storylines heading into spring ball in the coming weeks, and provide updates as spring practice gets into full gear.
Practices will remain behind closed doors as they have been, but we’ll hear plenty from players and staff. The next major date to mark is BC’s Pro Day on March 26th. Our very own Hunter Long and Isaiah McDuffie will go through the ringer with NFL Combine drills, and we’ll also hear from Max Richardson. The NFL Draft begins April 29th.
The Spring Game is set for April 24th. Whether folks will be able to grace the stands of Alumni Stadium is still up in the air, but perhaps a lucky few at best. Regardless, we’re all hoping to give Hafley and the Eagles the warm welcome they deserved at Chestnut Hill come September.
